The Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani has the pleasure to invite you to the workshop that will take place on 26 November 2023, Sunday, in Siatista. The seminar will be modular: it will start at 10:30 a.m. at the Mansion of Poulkos in Gerania of Siatista and will continue at 12:30 p.m. at the Mansion of Argyriadis (‘Maliogas’) in Chora of Siatista. The educational workshop is organized in the framework of the co-funded educational program entitled “The Colors of Siatista”, which is implemented by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani at the Mansion of Poulkos and the Argyriadis Mansion (“Maliogas”) in Siatista.<\/p>\r\n

Who is the seminar for? <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The seminar is addressed to the general public who want to come into a first contact with two monuments of secular architecture of the 18th and 19th century in Siatista, but also to people with specialized interests who want to get to know in depth details of the architecture, decoration and history of the mansions of Siatista. We will be delighted to welcome families and parents with children, who will be kept busy during the tour of the adults with our art workshop, games and stories.<\/p>\r\n

We extend a special invitation to primary and secondary school teachers who have either already taken part in the educational program “The Colors of Siatista” or are planning to visit the mansions with their classrooms in the future. Teachers who wish to do so will be issued with certificates of attendance.<\/p>\r\n

What does the seminar include? <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

During the seminar, archaeologists of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani will guide the audience to the two mansions (Poulkos and Argyriadis-Maliogas) and will talk about the history of Siatista in the 18th and 19th centuries. At the same time, the educational program “The Colors of Siatista”, its objectives, pedagogical methods and tools used will be presented in detail. The feedback from teachers and parents, which will be obtained through the discussion that will follow, will be valuable.<\/p>\r\n

Participation in the informative seminar is free of charge. However, due to their particular nature as 18th and 19th century buildings, these mansions cannot accommodate large groups of people at the same time.
