The educational program “THE COLORS OF SIATISTA” is implemented by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani. The project is co-funded by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund) through the Operational Program “Human Resources Development, Education & Lifelong Learning, NSRF 2014-2020”.<\/p>\r\n

The Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani is part of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and operates as a Regional Service at the level of Directorate. It has spatial responsibility for the Regional Unit of Kozani and its seat is Aiani of Kozani. The Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani exercises its responsibilities locally within the boundaries of the Regional Unit of Kozani, cooperating with the respective Directorates of the Central Service and other Services of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and carries out projects, which are included in the annual Action Plans, as approved by the Minister, after consultation of the relevant Councils. The staff of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani participates in the work described above as well as in the conduct of systematic and rescue excavations or other archaeological works and research, in the study and organization of permanent and temporary exhibitions, in the development and operation of archaeological sites, in the organization, operation and promotion of museums, as well as educational programs implemented within them or in the monuments and archaeological sites in the area of its jurisdiction.<\/p>\r\n

The head of the Kozani Antiquities Ephorate is Dr. Areti Chondrogianni-Metoki, who is also responsible for the administration of this project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Foteini Vakratsa, Archaeologist-Museologist<\/div>

Foteini studied archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and then followed postgraduate studies in Museology at Leicester University in the United Kingdom. Since 1998 she has worked as an archaeologist in many ephorates of antiquities, by participating in projects regarding excavations, museum exhibitions, as well as planning and implementing educational programs.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ioannis Gatas, Archaeologist-Art Hisorian<\/div>

Ioannis is working as an archaeologist and art historian at the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kozani. He studied archaeology at the University of Ioannina and followed postgraduate studies in art history at Vrije Univesity in Amsterdam. His main interests are planning and implementing educational programs in museums, archaeological and cultural sites. He has work as a museum educator in the Children\u2019s Creative Learning Center of the Municipality of Delphi, the Ephorate of Antiquities in Thessaloniki and the Museum of Byzantine Culture of Thessaloniki. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Theocharis Tsampouras, Archaeologist, Head of the Educational Program<\/div>

Theocharis graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Philosophy with a degree in Archaology (2002) and History (2004). In 2013 he was awarded a PhD in Byzantine Archaeology at the same department and in 2014-2015 he received the Mary Seeger O' Boyle scholarship for a postdoctoral research at the Hellenic Studies Center at Princeton University, U.S.A. He has teached Art History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Western Macedonia, where he is doing his second PhD. He is currently working as a permanent archaeologist at the Ephorate of Antiquities in Kozani. His research interests cover several aspects of post byzantine art with a focus on the paintings of itinerant artistic workshops from the 16th to the early 19th century. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
